Get To Know Core Physical Therapy

Hello, we’re Core Physical Therapy and we are excited to meet you! If you haven’t had a chance to stop by and meet us, we hope you will soon. Until then, here’s what you should know about us and why we are committed to your health through physical therapy.

What We Do

We believe that your treatment should be unique and specific to you. For this reason, we have a variety of treatment options available. As you can tell from the name, we seek to treat the core of your pain. It’s important to heal from your injuries by confronting them head-on. Our pain management options focus on the: upper body, lower body, spine health, women’s health and vestibular therapy. A hallmark of our practice also includes the unique craniosacral and myofascial release therapy. These are both specialty services that aid in the treatment of chronic pain.

Our “Why”

We have a passion for helping our clients reach their personal goals. It’s incredibly important for each patient to feel comfortable with their therapist and confident in the treatment plan laid out for them. We honor this by providing a space you can feel comfortable in during each session. Each patient gets a private room with their therapist. This enables free-flowing communication and a deepened sense of trust. We find that this helps patients enjoy their treatment and follow through with their at-home exercises.

How We Can Help You

Over the counter medicines like Tylenol are often a go-to for pain that could be more properly treated and kept at bay by physical therapy. When some think of physical therapy, they often first think about a knee or back injury. While we can definitely help with those troubles, these are some other areas we can help you with that you may not have considered for PT.

Pelvic Pain: This pain isn’t exclusive to women, as people of all ages and genders may experience pelvic pain. This can be treated in a variety of ways from stretches, targeted exercises or with myofascial release therapy. Fertility conditions and pelvic floor pain are just a couple of the pain points that we can help with.

Headaches: Headaches shouldn’t be a pain that you just have to “deal with.” Physical therapy can help get to the core of what is causing recurring headaches. A physical therapist will be able to complete an assessment of the neck, its range of motion and your posture to determine what treatment will work best.

Dizziness: If you find yourself getting dizzy from anxiety, vestibular neuritis, post-stroke or another disorder, we will be able to help you gain control of this to reduce your risk of falling. With care specific to your needs, our therapists will be able to help retrain your nervous system.

Now that you know all about us, feel free to schedule an appointment today! In the state of Iowa, most insurance companies don’t require that you have a doctor’s note to see a physical therapist, so feel free to reach out to us today!
