It's Physical Therapy Month!

This October, we’re not just here for the pumpkin spice lattes, Halloween candy and all of the spooktacular events, we’re also here to celebrate National Physical Therapy Month with YOU! Physical Therapy Month is all about recognizing the power of rehabilitation and how it can transform your healing, along with recognizing those in the profession that make this all possible! Follow along to see all the benefits of physical therapy and why you should #ChoosePT.

It’s a hands-on approach

When you set up a physical therapy appointment or consultation, your therapist will sit down and get to know who you are and evaluate your concern so they know exactly how to help in the most effective and efficient way. No individual injury is identical, so why should the the treatment plans be? At Core Physical Therapy, each appointment is about 45 minutes long and that entire time is spent focused on you, your needs and getting you back to where you want to be. Take a look at our treatment process to see for yourself!

It doesn’t involve opioid usage

The opioid crisis is real, and it isn’t going to go away on its own. Opioids are highly addictive and are often unsafe due to misuse. Physical therapy is a safe and effective alternative to opioids for long-term pain management. In 2016, the CDC released guidelines using non-opioid approaches for chronic pain management. Their prescribed checklist recommends non-opioid therapy first. It is important that we are being proactive and not reactive when it comes to our health, and choosing physical therapy first is a great step in the right direction!

There are endless conditions it can help treat

Physical therapy is unique in a way that everyone's treatment plans are customized just for you. It will fit your lifestyle and your needs so that you are set up for success from the beginning. At Core Physical Therapy, we treat an endless amount of conditions including these areas:
